• Make centre pieces out of those old jam jars you have around your house, you can even buy glass paint to make decorations on the glass

• Why not make a confectionary stand for your pudding, collect different size jars and stack them with different sweets

• You can make pine cones your centre pieces, why not spray them in your colour theme and add glitter to make them sparkle

• Go to your local pub and ask for a collection of wine corks these then can be used as quirky name cards (make a thin slice into the cork and slot the card with the persons name on it in the slice)

• Ask friends and families to send photos to you with their RVSPs and use these for your seating plan

• Do you have a stash of unused cushion covers, curtains or bed linen why not cut them up and make your own bunting

• Use your stash of buttons and make them into your table numbers on a piece of card

• Do you live by the beach, why not collect smooth pebbles for which you can write your guest names on them and use them as place settings
